Before
starting employment at Lutheran Augustana Center, every employee is required
to have a physical examination and drug screen. For continued employment,
a physical examination and/or health screen is required annually, on or
before your anniversary date of employment. The purpose of the examination
is to assure the protection of Augustana’s residents whose care
is entrusted to us.
During the health examination, a PPD test or chest x-ray will be administered.
Titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Hepatitis screening
are performed and immunizations are given if necessary. Augustana offers
the Influenza vaccine annually and, the Pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine
(PPV) is offered once to all employees.
In accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws and orders,
