Lutheran
Augustana Center recognizes that mealtime is an integral part of healing
and that nutritional care encompasses the broad spectrum of individual dieting
needs. Three daily full-course meals are served in our attractive nursing
unit dining rooms. Our menu can be provided in multiple consistencies and
tailored to specific therapeutic requirements. A staff dietitian is assigned
to each resident to provide for nutritional needs and assure individual
preferences are met. Complex diagnosis requiring diet modification, supplementation,
enteral feeding and adaptive devices are routinely evaluated
and implemented.
Menus are developed in collaboration with residents and offer a wide variety
of foods. Additionally, our staff is sensitive to the customs and traditions
of the multi-ethnic community we serve and accordingly, cultural and ethnic
food preferences are accommodated upon request. |
