Each
nursing unit has designated Board Certified physicians which allow for
physician accessibility to both residents and their families. All physicians
are credentialed at Lutheran Medical Center, the acute care hospital connected
to the Home by an enclosed connecting skyway; thereby enhancing physician
visits to their residents. When medically necessary, residents are seen
by Lutheran Medical Center specialists (i.e., Cardiologist, Urologist,
Gastroenterologist, etc.) and have access to other ancillary services
(i.e., radiology, laboratory, etc.) To further enhance on-site medical
coverage, a nurse practitioner is at the Home six days a week.
