Augustana Center has a long-standing ethical commitment to protecting
the privacy of its residents. Additionally, Augustana strictly adheres
to and enforces the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
of 1996, Privacy Rule. The Privacy Rule governs how the Home manages all
resident health information. All employees receive instruction on the
Home’s policies and procedures regarding resident privacy and have
agreed to act in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth
regarding resident privacy.
Concerns or complaints regarding resident privacy should be directed to
the Home’s Privacy Officer.
