The Rehabilitative Services at Lutheran Augustana Center serves all facility residents and is recognized for its intensive short-term restorative rehabilitation for the treatment of complex orthopedic, neurological and other medical conditions. Each resident brings distinct needs that are thoroughly evaluated and managed by caring physical, occupational and speech therapists. The rehabilitation care plan is supported by a Board Certified Physiatrist who supervises the course of an individual’s therapy.

The recently renovated state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym provides a spacious, uniquely designed area equipped with the latest technology and equipment including an adaptive car offering residents an opportunity to strengthen their transferring skills. In addition, a fully equipped training kitchen and bathroom help residents regain essential daily living skills. An outdoor rehabilitation garden offers an area equipped with steps, a curb, rails, and a ramp for residents to regain their strength, balance and mobility in a motivational outdoor setting. The fresh air, sunshine and landscaped outdoor rehabilitation garden, provides additional encouragement to meet therapy goals.
