Skilled Nursing and Sub-Acute Care

The Home’s professional nursing staff are specially trained to meet the diverse and complex needs of each resident. Sub-acute, rehabilitation, long term care, palliative and hospice care is provided by our compassionate and dedicated nursing staff composed of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. Registered nurses are certified in gerontological nursing, intravenous therapy, phlebotomy and CPR/basic and advance cardiac life support. All staff receive training to keep abreast of technological advances in the care of the elderly and disabled.

A nursing rehabilitation program is provided on each nursing unit to increase and/or sustain each resident’s independence by supporting their abilities in ambulation, range of motion, feeding and dressing skills. Nurses play a key role in the development of individualized resident care plans in our multi-disciplinary setting, ensuring that all needs of each resident are addressed in a caring and comforting environment. The nursing staff serve as a resource to academia by providing on-site training for students enrolled in certified nursing assistant and undergraduate-nursing curriculums.
